Doctors in North Darfur enter open-ended strike

Doctors in North Darfur started a open-ended strike on Monday to protest against the lack of owed financial entitlements from 2010 and 2011. Sources said doctors will continue to cover emergency departments, accidents and critical cases. They are also protesting against the dismissal of Dr Abdul Rahim Khalifa, a doctor known for speaking out for the rights of doctors and improving the working environment. The source said the doctors will continue the strike and stop covering emergencies and accidents if Dr Khalifa is not reinstrated, and their financial dues are not fully paid.
