Diseases spreading rapidly in Darfur IDP camps

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Darfur complain about rapidly spreading diseases such as malaria, typhoid, skin conditions and diarrhea. The diseases especially effect children and the elderly. The diseases spread in all IDP camps in Darfur, due to lack of medical treatment and the stagnant water in which flies and mosquitoes breed. A medical source warned for an epidemic of several diseases and added that there is a lack of campaigns to fight malaria and environmental health issues.
