Diseases spreading in Rango Tass camp

Displaced people in Rango Tass camp in Central Darfur say problems with health services and water access is causing some diseases to spread. One camp leader told Radio Dabanga that diarrhea and flu are spreading quickly amongst children. He said there is no health centre for around 30,000 people who are forced to travel to Mornay hospital to receive treatment, which is already lacking adequate medicines and personnel. The leader said the expulsion of humanitarian organisations from the area has put further pressure on the one serving hospital. He added that there are only two out of six water pumps still operating.
