A Darfurian citizen named Awadallah Nur Abdelrahman faces deportation from China. He could soon be delivered into the hands of Sudanese authorities in Khartoum after Chinese immigration authorities refused to renew his residency status in China and confiscated his passport. Awadallah told Radio Dabanga from China that he handed over his passport to the immigration authorities when applying to renew his residency. He said he paid the necessary fees but was later surprised to learn that the immigration authorities told him that his passport was lost. He has lived in China for more than 5 years and he asked human rights organizations and activists to put pressure on the Chinese government to stop his deportation to Sudan.
