Darfur refugee children in Chad given chance to take exam

Literacy exams began at Camp Djabal and Goz Amir for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad on Sunday with the participation of 58 students. Those who pass are expected to be absorbed into the secondary school system in Sudan. Notably this program is the first in Chad to involve Sudanese observers from the Ministry of Education. Recently the two countries opened their borders after an end to hostilities.
