Darfur rebels claim 23 kills in West Jebel Marra

The SRF forces of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW) claims to have killed 14 government soldiers and militiamen during a battle at Karmel area between Golo and Sur Reng in West Jebel Marra on Wednesday.
Military spokesman for the SLM-AW, Mustafa Tambour, told Dabanga that the Movement defeated the Government forces and their militias, seized various weapons and ammunition and forced the Government troops to flee towards Golo.

The SRF forces of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW) claims to have killed 14 government soldiers and militiamen during a battle at Karmel area between Golo and Sur Reng in West Jebel Marra on Wednesday.

Military spokesman for the SLM-AW, Mustafa Tambour, told Dabanga that the Movement defeated the Government forces and their militias, seized various weapons and ammunition and forced the Government troops to flee towards Golo.

Tambour says that the Sudanese Air Force destroyed three wells in Sorenq and burned eight shops stores in an indiscriminate aerial bombardment that led to the displacement of large numbers of people.

Abakar Nasreldin Abdallah and his four-year-old son Nasreldin died when an Antonov dropped a bomb into a valley near Tora Sur Reng on Thursday.

Tambour added that on Thursday, a joint rebel force killed nine government troops west of Golo They trying to crawl toward Sur Reng military base west of Jebel Marra.
