Court condemns Sudanese policemen for detainee’s death

On Sunday, the court of El Doroshab in Khartoum North sentenced two policemen to death for the premeditated murder of a detainee in a Khartoum North police station in 2009.
The detainee had been accused of theft.
The judge ruled on the basis of a medical report that stated that the death of the victim resulted from repeated blows from military boots on various parts of his body and from a chair leg being forced into his anus.
