Cannabis seized in South Darfur

The South Darfur police narcotics branch seized large quantities of cannabis (marijuana) in El Radoom locality last week.
The head of the South Darfuri narcotics police told reporters in Nyala on Thursday that his forces confiscated “more than 300 kg of unprocessed cannabis, 8,000 gandoul (“ready-to-sell” cobs of cannabis), 45 kg of cannabis seeds, a Kalashnikov, 150 bullets, an air bicycle, as well as manufacturing tools”.

The head of the South Darfuri narcotics police told reporters in Nyala on Thursday that his forces confiscated “more than 300 kg of unprocessed cannabis, 8,000 gandoul (“ready-to-sell” cobs of cannabis), 45 kg of cannabis seeds, an AK47 assault rifle, 150 bullets, as well as manufacturing tools”.

He explained that the anti-narcotics campaign, recently launched in the state, “covered vast areas in El Radoom locality, until the borders with South Sudan and the Central African Republic”.
