Camel thieves murder seven herders in North Darfur

Seven herders were killed by camel thieves in the area of Tigi, located on the border of the localities of El Sareif Beni Hussein and Kabkabiya in North Darfur on Sunday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga on Monday, a herder said that a group of gunmen attacked the camel herders late on Sunday evening. “They shot them dead while they were sleeping. Then they took 300 camels, and fled to an unknown destination.” The herder said that on Monday morning a rescue team of villagers and herders was formed, that went to the area of Tigi to track the murderers.
