Bombs hit South Kordofan

There are reports that the Sudanese air force bombed areas south west of Dilling county in South Kordofan this morning. Bab’allah Abdullah Khadr, secretary of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement told Radio Dabanga that the Sudanese army dropped more than 12 barrels of explosives in the areas of Silara, Karko, Senda, Kudjooria and Shifr. The shelling caused fires and burned some houses and farms, but there were no reports of casualties. The spokesman said that the bombing only in civilian populated areas, and has succeeded to cause panic amongst the population. He appeals to the international community to intervene to protect civilians. A citizen from Silara confimed that two bombs were dropped from Antonov helicopters at 10am. No people were killed, but two houses were burned and 33 sheeps and 60 goats perished.
