Bindisi residents protest relocation of school

Residents in Juhma in Bindisi locality in Central Darfur state demonstrated on Sunday against the authorities planning to relocate the school away from its central location to the outskirts of the area. A resident told Radio Dabanga that residents protested against the planning policy which affects many of their ability to deliver their children to the school. He said the peaceful demonstration was forcefully disrupted by authorities firing in to the crowd with demonstrators responding and burning down homes belonging to local administrative staff.
