Barrel bombs kill livestock, ruin farms in Sudan’s Blue Nile State
A large number of livestock and substantial tracts of groundnut farms were destroyed in an air raid on Yaboos area in Sudan’s Blue Nile State on Monday.
Ishraga of the office of humanitarian affairs in the Blue Nile State told Radio Dabanga that while there were no human casualties reported, the raid created panic among the population.
She called on the international community to exert pressure on the Sudanese government to stop the aerial bombardment of civilians in the Blue Nile, Nuba Mountains and Darfur, and to impose a no-fly zone.
