Civilians were attacked and robbed by armed militiamen on the on the road between Kukul village and Saraf Umra in North Darfur on Wednesday, for the second consecutive day.

Sheikh Abdul Razeg Yousif told Radio Dabanga that the robbery on Wednesday after noon left two people seriously injured.

“The militiamen opened fire on six people on the road. After wounding two people, they robbed the group of their money and mobile phones, Sheikh Yousif said.

One of the wounded was transferred in a coma to Zalingei for treatment.

As reported by Radio Dabanga yesterday, a man was injured and several others were robbed along the same stretch of road on Tuesday.
