Authorities to build 20 wells in Saraf Omra

Authorities of the Saraf Omra locality in North Darfur declared that 20 water wells will be built and installed in the region by 2013, Radio Dabanga has learned on Monday, 1 January. The purpose of the project is to counter the shortage of drinking water faced by citizens and also animals, they said. Kamaluddin Yahya Khalil, Saraf Omra commissioner, told the Sudan News Agency that the wells, operated by hand pumps, will be placed in the northeast areas of the locality.
