Health care blockade claims three children in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra

Three children died in the area of Barkero, west of Katur, on Friday, of the consequences of diarrhoea, coughing, and swelling of the hands, legs, and neck.
A relative of the children told Dabanga that dozens of children below seven years old are suffering from diseases.
“We cannot reach health centres, or obtain any medicines in the area, because of the blockade of the Rapid Support Forces militia. And the authorities deny foreign organisations access to the area.”
