Women gang-raped, man murdered in Sani Deleiba, South Darfur

Uniformed gunmen raped two women of El Salam camp for the displaced in Bielel locality, South Darfur, on Saturday and Sunday. A resident of El Salam camp resident was shot dead on Saturday. Abdallah Gamar of El Salam camp told Radio Dabanga that four government-backed militiamen wearing military uniforms assaulted six displaced women collecting firewood in the area of Sani Deleiba, southeast of Nyala, on Saturday. They seized two of them and raped them alternately for a full day. The victims were released on Sunday morning. The perpetrators stole four donkey carts from the women. MasksOn Saturday too, four militiamen wearing military uniforms and masks shot dead El Salam camp vendor Ali El Doma Abdel Nabi (50), sheikh Mahjoub Adam Tabaldiya reported to Radio Dabanga. Abdel Nabi had gone out with his donkey cart to collect firewood from the Kashalan Go valley. He was intercepted at the El Salam-Sani Deleiba-Kashalan Go road. After he died, the gunmen stole his donkey cart, and fled. The murdered vendor left behind four sons, the oldest being 11 years-old, the sheikh added. Abdel Nabi was buried on the El Salam camp cemetery on Sunday.
