West Darfur sheikhs deny NCP allegiance

The native administrations and sheikhs of the ten camps in Sirba locality, West Darfur, have denied allegations by the authorities that they have pledged allegiance to Sudan’s National Congress Party (NCP) government. A spokesman for Sirba camps told Radio Dabanga they have not acknowledged the NCP government nor promised to vote for them in the elections of 2015. The spokesman wondering how they could “show allegiance to those who have killed our fathers, brothers, and families and mercilessly raped wives, mothers, sisters, and aunts along with stealing money and burning villages.
