Larry Andre, the newly appointed director of the office of the US special envoy to Sudan, conducted a one-day visit to El Fasher, North Darfur on Monday.Andre paid a visit to the United Nations African Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) senior officials who briefed him on the current political and security situation in Darfur, various UNAMID activities, dissemination of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) and the status of the mission’s radio broadcasting license.

He also met with representatives of the UN country team, UNAMID Humanitarian and Protection Strategy and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
