Two young women raped in El Geneina, West Darfur

Militiamen raped two young women in El Geneina, West Darfur, on Sunday, in two separate incidents. A relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen in military uniforms on Sunday evening raped two girls. The first woman (18) was raped in the Um Diyoun district, in the eastern part of El Geneina, and second woman (19) was sexually abused at gunpoint in El Kifah district in the centre of the West Darfur capital.   The relative added that both assaults were reported to the police. Militiamen raped two young women in El Geneina, West Darfur, on Sunday, in two separate incidents.

A relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen in military uniforms on Sunday evening raped two girls. The first woman (18) was raped in the Um Diyoun district, in the eastern part of El Geneina, and second woman (19) was sexually abused at gunpoint in El Kifah district in the centre of the West Darfur capital.  

The relative added that both assaults were reported to the police.
