Two women raped near North Darfur’s Tabit

Militiamen abused two young women in an area near Tabit, North Darfur, on Wednesday morning.
The mother of the two girls at Khazan Wadi Marra, 15 km south of Tabit, told Radio Dabanga that “members of the Rapid Support Forces” arrived in a Land Cruiser at 8am at the place where the women were fetching water.
The RSF troops took the women, aged 18 and 22 years, at gunpoint to a nearby area and repeatedly raped them.
Their mother said that people later brought the victims, in poor health and psychological conditions, back to their village at Tretir area. She explained that they are now receiving a traditional medical treatment by elder women from the area.
