Two girls raped, farmer abducted in East Jebel Marra

Militia members raped two girls and injured another in East Jebel Marra on Thursday. A farmer has been abducted near Mashrou Abu Zaid.

A listener told Radio Dabanga that five militants, riding camels and motorcycles, intercepted two girls and a young woman who had gone out from Um Tireitir village to collect firewood. The men managed to seize the two girls, aged 14 and 17, and raped them.

The listener said that the 25-year-old woman managed to escape after the gunmen hit her on the head.

The same day, seven militiamen abducted El Moali Yahya Saleh (35) from the farms around Mashrou Abu Zaid in East Jebel Marra. A witness said that the kidnappers took the farmer under force of arms.
