Two displaced detained in Kabkabiya, North Darfur

Security forces arrested two El Salam camp residents in Kabkabiya, North Darfur, on Saturday. “Four members of the security service on two motorcycles detained Juma Musa (45), and Mohamed Abdallah (26) from El Salam camp for the displaced in Kabkabiya locality on Saturday,” a camp leader told Radio Dabanga. “Musa, owner of a grain mill, had bought four jerry cans of diesel for his mill at the market of Kabkabiya. He then took a rickshaw owned by Abdallah to return to the camp. A group of security troops followed them, and stopped the rickshaw in front of the Shargiya Basic School for girls. They took the two displaced to the Kabkabiya garrison. They are still being held.” The camp leader called upon the UN, Unamid, and human rights organisations to intervene and release the two displaced.
