Two Darfur children injured in govt. attack on Jebel Marra

Government forces bombed and shelled the area west and south of Golo in Jebel Marra on Saturday. Two children were injured.
“Salima Adam Hamad (12) sustained injuries in her thigh and her brother Abulbashar in his leg when a missile hit the ground in front of them in Wadi Boori, 20 kilometres southeast of Golo,” an activist reported to Radio Dabanga from the village.
The source added that nine barrel bombs dropped near Wadi Boori led to the destruction of most of the mango and orange plantations in the area.
He appealed to the UN Security Council to exert pressure on the government to stop the bombing of civilians in Jebel Marra.
