Two Abu Tira men dead after attacks in N Darfur

Witnesses informed Radio Dabanga that Arab tribal gunmen opened fire against four Central Reserve Forces (Abu Tira) elements last Saturday, August 26. According to sources the attack happened in Kabkabiya, North Darfur, and left two Abu Tira men dead. Onlookers added that another Abu Tira member got severely injured and the fourth escaped. They said the forth man fled to the Kamqa Valley, 15 kilometers east of Kabkabiya. According to sources the gunmen attacked the Abu Tira forces when they brought their Land Cruiser to a mechanic, located east of the Kabkabiya market. The fatal victims are: Corporal Ahmed Mohammed Issa and Corporal Alsaiq Kadol. The injured man is called Hamid Ibrahim Suleiman.
