Three wounded in South Darfur armed robbery

Three displaced people were injured in an armed robbery in Gireida locality in South Darfur on Sunday.
“A group of gunmen riding on camels and horses suddenly shot at three rikshaat [motor-tricycle rickshaws] carrying passengers from the Hashaba market to Gireida town in South Darfur this morning,” a resident of Forika camp for the displaced told Radio Dabanga on Sunday.
“Adam Ali Mohamed of Forika camp, Mohamed Yagoub of Abdos camp, and Abakar Ishag of Absafareek camp sustained injuries. The attackers then stole all their money and purchases and fled.”
The source added that the three wounded are currently being treated at the Gireida Hospital.
