Three wounded in Central Darfur highway robbery

Three men were taken to Bindisi hospital – one of them in a serious condition – after they were wounded when gunmen opened fire on a convoy in Central Darfur on Tuesday evening.

Three men were taken to Bindisi hospital – one of them in a serious condition – after they were wounded when gunmen opened fire on a convoy in Central Darfur on Tuesday evening.

Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that five gunmen opened fire on four commercial vehicles Wailang area on the road from Garsila to Bindisi, wounding the assistant driver of the vehicle and two passengers.

The gunmen robbed the passengers of belongings and cash to the value of SDG 200 million ($3,875*) before they fled.
