Three Sudanese traders slain, one wounded in CAR robbery

Three Sudanese traders were murdered and another wounded in the Central African Republic (CAR) by militiamen on Tuesday. A relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga that El Samani Ibrahim, a South Darfuri trader from Rahad El Berdi in South Darfur, embarked on a commercial journey from Sudan to the CAR together with Yusef Suleiman, Ahmed Abakar, and a trader called Abdallah. They were travelling in a convoy of three commercial vehicles. The convoy was ambushed inside CAR territory on Tuesday by ten gunmen on donkeys. The gunmen shot at the convoy, killing Ibrahim, Suleiman, and Abdallah instantly. Abakar was seriously wounded, and transferred to the Burri hospital in the CAR for treatment.
