Three lorries pillaged in South Darfur

Militiamen robbed the passengers of three commercial vehicles in two separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday in Beleil locality, South Darfur. Sheikh Mahjoub Adam Tabaldiya of the El Salam camp for the displaced told Radio Dabanga that the first incident on Saturday morning, when Janjaweed on camels intercepted a lorry en route from El Salam camp to the Abga Raajil market.  The 11 passengers from El Salam camp for the displaced were robbed of all their money and mobile phones, in addition to their luggage and foodstuffs. In the second incident, on Sunday morning, Janjaweed on camels ambushed two lorries at Wadi Baruma when they were on their way from El Salam camp to Nyala, the capital of South Darfur. The armed men stole all mobile phones, money and luggage of the passengers. Sheikh Tabaldiya noted that the place of the robbery, at Wadi Baruma, is located 500m of a security forces post.
