Three people have been killed and several others have been wounded in separate incidents in North, South, and Central Darfur. Militiamen have stolen the money and property of civilians.

Militiamen killed Yousef Sadig and wounded Bushra Mohamed Saleh in the area of Semelo, north of Tur, in South Darfur's Kass locality on Monday. The attackers, driving a lorry, took their money and mobile phones.

In a car accident on Monday, Mohamed El Tijani Ateleb and Khalil En Nur were killed on the road of El Geneina in West Darfur. Their vehicle overturned while speeding on its way to Kass.

Ahmadai Ahmed sustained serious injuries when the commercial vehicle he was in was ambushed by militiamen in North Darfur's Korma locality. They opened fire on the vehicle in order to stop it, and robbed the passengers of their money.

Also on Monday, Halima Ishag was seriously wounded by militiamen in Mukjar locality. When they intended to rape her, Ishag fought back. Her attackers then shot Ishag. She was hit in her leg and her shoulder, and taken to Zalingei hospital for treatment.

Road ambush

In El Sareif Beni Hussein locality in North Darfur, militant Abbala tribesmen attacked a large commercial lorry on its way from Kabkabiya to El Tina in North Darfur on Monday. In the area of Jebel 'Amer, they forced the passengers out of the vehicle and beat them. They stole all their money, phones, and other items in the vehicle.

A passenger estimated that the stolen money and items are worth thousands of Sudanese pounds. Through Radio Dabanga, he called on the state authorities to put an end to the violations by the militiamen.
