Teachers, classrooms needed for 265 deaf students in South Darfur

Educators in South Darfur have appealed to the responsible authorities to make provision for some 265 hearing-impaired students and pupils. Directors of Special Education complain of a lack of trained teachers in sign language, teaching aids and appropriate classrooms. The Director of special education in South Darfur, Adam Ali says that there are 127 deaf pupils in basic schools and 97 students in secondary schools.
