Supplies for emergency water programme reach Sudan’s El Gedaref

The Minister for Urban Planning and Public Utilities Engineer Ali Al Madani Hamadd El Nil was reporting via the official Sudanese News Agency (SUNA).

He said the project, which cost more than SDG4. 3 billion ($70 million) was funded fully by the Ministry of Finance of El Gedaref state.

The Minister says the project will help provide water and prepositioned water containers for El Gedaref town. It increases the production capacity by more than 3,000 cubic meters daily to cover the needs of the town.

He says this is part of a strategic project that would secure the water needs for the town and the state.
