Sudanese stranded in Libya ‘want to return home’

Sudanese nationals in the Libyan capital of Tripoli are suffering under the poor security situation. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a Sudanese residing in Tripoli told Radio Dabanga that they cannot leave their homes, search for work, or conduct business because of the ongoing fighting in the city. He stressed that the health conditions of many Sudanese are deteriorating. “As we often dare not to leave our houses, we are short of food, drinks, and medicines.” “We contacted the embassy of Sudan in Tripoli again for help, to no avail. The embassies of other countries are all concerned about its citizens. Many have evaluated their nationals from Libya some time ago.” “All we want is to return home. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a Sudanese residing in Tripoli told Radio Dabanga that they cannot leave their homes, search for work, or conduct business because of the ongoing fighting in the city.

He stressed that the health conditions of many Sudanese are deteriorating. “As we often dare not to leave our houses, we are short of food, drinks, and medicines.”
