Sudanese President appoints new diplomatic envoy for Darfur negotiations

Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir has issued a Republican Decree appointing Dr Amin Hassan Omer as Envoy of the Presidency for Negotiation and Diplomatic Communication on Darfur File.

Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir has issued a Republican Decree appointing Dr Amin Hassan Omer as Envoy of the Presidency for Negotiation and Diplomatic Communication on Darfur File.

The official Sudan News Agency reports that the Decree relieves Dr Omer from the position of Chairman of the Office for Follow up of Peace in Darfur.

In another Republican Decree, President Al-Bashir has appointed Magdi Khalfalla to replace Dr Omer as the Chairman of the Office for Follow up of Peace in Darfur, with the rank of state Minister.
