Sudanese peace talks to restart on 18 November

The long awaited new round of negotiations between the Sudanese government and rebel movements on the cessation of hostilities are scheduled to start in Addis Ababa on 18 November.
Invitations have been sent to Dr Ibrahim Ghandour, Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the negotiation delegation, and to the leaders of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), the Sudan Liberation Movement-MM, and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N).
The head of the AU Liaison Office in Sudan, Mahmoud Kane, told Sudan Media Center (SMC) on Tuesday that the talks on a cessation of hostilities for Darfur and the Two Areas (South Kordofan and the Blue Nile) will be held separately on 18 and 19 November.
Ahmed Tugud will lead the Darfur JEM and SLM-MM joint delegation, while Yasir Arman will head the SPLM-N delegation that will discuss the situation in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile.
