Sudanese hospital medics strike over non-payment

The doctors and interns of Wad Madani hospital in Khartoum have embarked on a strike from work and refused to see patients in protest against non-payment of their incentives for January.
The hospital’s director apparently stopped the payments, arguing that doctors were paid twice.
The doctors refused to enter the hospital wards to see the patients in the clinics during the evening and morning periods. The hospital administration called on the Health Minister to sit down with doctors before they went on strike but the Health Minister did not respond.
