Ten Sudanese bus companies have decided to stop plying from Omdurman to El Fasher, until the Western Salvation Road is secured.

The President of the Travel Buses Union, Mohamed Hamed Shumein, announced on Tuesday that ten travel bus companies agreed to stop travel to and from the North Darfur capital.

Pointing to the recent increase of robberies in North Darfur, he said that the companies demanded from the Presidency to “comb the El Shareef Kabashi road, along Buroush, Jebel Hilla, Um Keddada, and El Kuma, until El Fasher”.
