Sudan’s MoH reports malaria increase but no Ebola

The Sudanese Ministry of Health has acknowledged a huge increase of malaria cases in the country, in particular in the states of Khartoum, El Gezira, West Kordofan, and North Darfur. Besides, it is taking measures to prevent the Ebola virus from penetrating the country. In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry described the situation as “epidemic” and “threatening”, in particular in El Gezira and West Kordofan.
