Sudan’s Finance Minister suspends Form-15 transaction receipt

Dealings with Form-15, a receipt required for financial transactions, are invalid in all of Sudan as of July. Any dealings come under the penalty of criminal charges.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Badreldin Mahmoud, has announced to suspend dealings with Form-15, considering it invalid in all the states of Sudan as of the end of June. Any dealings are then under the penalty of criminal charges.

Mahmoud warned all money collectors and accountants of the consequences of any financial dealings with Form-15 after the deadline. He explained that whoever deals with the form, will be subject to criminal responsibility. Form-15 stands for an official receipt that is required for financial transaction and collecting fees.

On Tuesday in North Darfur, the launch of electronic collection was announced, entering into effect from the beginning of July.
