Sudan rebels heading to Finland on Saturday

As part of its European tour, the delegation of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) rebel alliance is heading to Finland on Saturday. The rebels said their meetings over the last two days in Italy were “fruitful”.While in Italy, the SRF met with parliamentarians, members of the senate, with the ruling Democratic Party, and with the head of Foreign Relations Bureau in Rome, according to Yasir Arman, the SRF Secretary for Foreign Relations.Discussions topics included the human rights situation in Sudan, the denial of the government to allow food aid for the displaced, the killing of demonstrators during the recent protests, and the necessity to change and establish a new political system in Sudan, according to the SRF secretary.Arman, who is also the Spokesperson for the SRF delegation, said that the rebel delegation is heading to Finland on the invitation of the national government.
