The Sudan Liberation Army faction of Abdel Wahid Al Nur said that it had repulsed an attack in areas east of Jebel Marra. The movement spokesman Nimr Mohammed Abdelrahman said the troops were able to repel an attack by the Sudanese army east of the mountain, and fighting is still continuing. Radio Dabanga was not able to reach the army or an independent source for comment on the news.
