Sudan bombs kill cattle in East Jebel Marra, Darfur

There are no human casualties following an aerial bombardment by the Sudanese Air Force, close to a village in East Jebel Marra in the centre of the Darfur region.

The Sudanese Air Force targeted a village in East Jebel Marra, in the heart of the Darfur region, on Friday.

The aerial bombardment did not lead to any casualties, although a number of cattle were killed, and large tracts of grasslands and forests were burned.

A witness told Radio Dabanga that an Antonov plane dropped seven bombs in the area north of Malam at 1pm. The explosion set fire to the surrounding forests and grasslands, and caused panic among residents in the area.
