Sudan bombers kill civilians in Jebel Marra says rebel, army denies

The government of Sudan bombed civilians and burnt a village to the ground in the highland region of central Darfur, according to the rebels. The Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid Al Nur said that government aircraft bombed for two consecutive days, Wednesday and Thursday, in the vicinity of Deribat and also around the village Dalu east of Jebel Marra. The military spokesman of the movement, Nimr Abdelrahman, said that the bombing resulted in the death of 15 civilians, including 3 children. One village was burnt, Nimr told Radio Dabanga.
