Student raped in El Fasher University dorm

A student was stabbed and raped at the female dormitory of El Fasher University on Tuesday.

The victim’s brother told Radio Dabanga a man entered his sister’s room at night armed with a gun and a knife. He stabbed her in the back, cheek and hand and raped her.

The victim’s brother accused a university guard of raping his sister. He claims that the dormitories are surrounded by high, barbed wire walls which are impossible to climb.

He added that the university administration reported the incident to the police. The identity of the man remains unknown.
