Stolen livestock driven to militia bases in North Darfur

Militiamen are taking large herds of livestock to militia centres in Kutum locality, North Darfur.
Several witnesses told Dabanga from Kutum town that they saw thousands of livestock passing by during the past three days. The flocks were driven towards the militia strongholds of Masri and Dawa, south of Kutum.

They said that the animals were stolen in militia raids on villages in the northern part of the locality during the last weeks.

Sheep

In Nierteti town, Central Darfur, militiamen injured a man, when he attempted to prevent them from taking his sheep on Monday.

“They severely beat Yagoub Abdallah Yagoub with their rifles. One of his legs was broken,” his neighbour reported to Dabanga. “He was taken to the hospital of Nierteti for treatment.”
