SRF: More than 100 killed and injured in recent clashes

Clashes between troops of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) and the Sudanese army on Friday November 9 in Wadi Murrah, near Tabet in North Darfur, reportedly killed and injured more than 100 elements of the Sudanese army, Radio Dabanga has learned. Adam Saleh, military spokesperson of Sudan’s Liberation Movement-Minni Minnawi, told Radio Dabanga that more than 100 Sudanese army elements were killed and injured during the clashes.He added that a number of military vehicles was seized by the SRF troops. The seized vehicles were said to include six vehicles loaded with Katyusha rockets, three vehicles with anti-aircraft missiles and five loaded with food and medicine.Saleh disclosed to Radio Dabanga that seven soldiers, including two first lieutenants were captured. He explained that the captured officers are members of the 11th Division of Kassala state.He stressed that the government troops were not able to evacuate the victims from the place where Friday’s battle took place. He added that four of the SRF troops were killed and another ten injured as a result of the clashes.
