SRF accuses government of destroying water sources amid reports of strikes

The armed opposition alliance known as the Sudan Revolutionary Front accused the Sudanese army of destroying a water station on Wednesday in Donki Hosh in North Darfur. The Front also accused pro-government militia of looting the market and arresting five people. ‘The events have cut off access to water and caused panic amongst residents’. said Yassir Bahr, Sudan Liberation Movement unity faction military spokesman. He appealed to humanitarian organsiations to provide urgently needed water pumps for citizens in the region. There are also reports from North Darfur about constant aerial bombardment over the past few days. The areas of Malit, Donki Hosh, Ba’ashin, Hashaba, Donki El Wahaim, Wadi Maghrib and Wadi Howa all reported bombing. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga the strikes have wiped out many livestock, particularly camels and sheep.
