The Sudanese army, along with its armed militia, looted livestock and raped two women in South Kordofan on Friday, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in South Kordofan (SPLM-SK) told Radio Dabanga.Arnaud Nugutulu, the spokesperson of the SPLM-SK, said, “Over 170 cattle were looted after the area was blocked for Friday prayers. The looting started once people started leaving the mosque after having offered their prayers.”

Nugutulu said that clashes ensued between the Sudanese armed forces, it’s militia and the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), the armed wing of the SPLM-N. “We killed 47 army members, including three well-known militia leaders in the fighting and there were 23 soldiers who were injured as a result of the clashes,” Nugutulu said.
