Southern Sudan citizens to officially lose Sudanese nationality

The Council of Ministers passed yesterday a bill amending the Sudanese Nationality Act. The new Act for 2011 was made in regards to the upcoming independence of Southern Sudan, whose citizens will lose the Sudanese citizenship. Interior Minister Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid said the amendment was necessary due to the upcoming independance of this region.
