The vehicle of the head of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) in South Darfur was stolen in front of his house in Nyala on Tuesday.

The vehicle of the head of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) in South Darfur was stolen in front of his house in Nyala on Tuesday.

Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Jamal Yousef told the press in Nyala on Wednesday that a group of three armed robbers in a Land Cruiser intercepted him when he returned home at 9pm.

“They pointed their guns at my chest, ordering me to disembark, and give them the car keys. I complied, fearing for my family.”

He said that the attackers drove off with his vehicle, but abandoned it later after one of the tyres was punctured.
