A shell fired on a house in Deribat, South Darfur, killed a woman and her son on Sunday night.

Sudanese soldiers stationed south of Deribat shelled the area, a witness reported from the outskirts of East Jebel Marra. Shadia Haroun Ibrahim (42) and her 12-year-old son Bahruldin Saleh Hamid were killed by the explosion in their house, which was burned to the ground.

Residents of Tabit in North Darfur reported that a group of Rapid Support Forces, driving 12 Land Cruisers, opened fire in the vicinity of the village while they were on their way from Jebel Marra to El Fasher. The shooting happened at 2 am on Sunday and sparked panic among the villagers. Some people fled from their houses.
